About ISSB Technology

Protect both your wallet and the environment. We use Interlocking Stabilized Soil Bricks in our construction. This innovative technology is of advantage due to the following;

  • ISSBs are not burnt, saving trees and reducing CO2 emissions. They are made from non-productive subsoil, without draining wetlands to source clay.
  • ISSBs are much stronger than ordinary clay bricks, and are able to withstand much more pressure. That makes ISSB constructions durable.
  • ISSBs use very little mortar between bricks and don’t need to be plastered. This can reduce the cost of construction by up to 30%.
  • The interlocking nature of ISSBs makes building with them up to two times faster than using ordinary clay bricks.

Step by Step Process

ISSBs are made from murram stabilized with a small amount of cement. The mixture is compressed in a specially-made brick press and air-dried – no burning required. One pair of our skilled brick-makers can make up to 500 ISSBs a day.

Ordinary Bricks: During construction, these require too much motar.

ISSB(Interlocking Stabilized Soil Bricks: This is the  best alternative for construction which requires less mortar.
